Ten cards and a basic Energy, £4.49 at RRP and almost never that in practice. 151 is the set that broke the usual pattern of sealed product getting cheaper with age: it covers only the original Generation I Pokémon, it is ordered by National Pokédex number, and at 165 cards in the main set with a 207-card total it is small enough to complete, which keeps demand from collectors rather than players. Charizard ex is the reason, with Venusaur ex, Blastoise ex and Mew ex the other cards worth pulling. Released 22 September 2023. Single packs are where the markup is most obvious on this set, so working out the per-pack cost of a bundle first is worth the thirty seconds, and buying the specific card as a single is often cheaper than chasing it.
