The 2026 UK Pokémon TCG release rhythm

The Pokémon TCG release schedule in 2026 follows two overlapping cycles. Mega Evolution sets — the current focus of the English line — roll out roughly every three months, with each set built around a different headline Pokémon and a fresh batch of Mega-evolved ex cards. The wider Scarlet & Violet block runs underneath that, with main-line numbered sets and special sets filling the gaps. UK release dates usually mirror North America, give or take a day, but pre-order windows, distribution allocations and prerelease event timings are always UK-specific. The calendar above shows everything we have confirmed for the UK market, sorted by date so you can plan around the schedule that actually applies to you.

Prerelease, release and restock waves

Three different timing windows matter for UK collectors. Knowing which one applies to a given event in the calendar above helps you decide where to focus.

Prerelease eventshappen one to two weeks before a set’s UK launch, hosted at participating local league stores. You play with sealed pre-built decks and walk away with a small allocation of packs and an event-exclusive promo card. It’s the earliest legitimate way to get hands on cards from a new set in the UK.

The release dateis the day the set goes live at high-street and specialist retailers — Argos, Smyths, GAME, Chaos Cards, Magic Madhouse, Total Cards and the rest. Initial allocations are usually small for hot sets and stock typically clears within hours.

Restock wavesare subsequent shipments that land in the days and weeks after release. For most collectors who weren’t online the morning of launch, this is when the practical chance of buying at RRP returns. Restock timing varies by retailer and product, which is what Poké Tracker monitors continuously.
