What is Prismatic Evolutions?

Prismatic Evolutions is the fourth Special Set in the Scarlet & Violet series, released on 17 January 2025 — a celebration of Eevee and all nine Eeveelutions. Every Eeveelution gets its own Special Illustration Rare, and the set introduced the now-confirmed "God Pack" mechanic where a small percentage of booster packs contain only ultra-rare cards. It's one of the most-watched Pokémon TCG sets on Poké Tracker and remains the single hardest set to find at retail in the UK.

Where to Buy Prismatic Evolutions in the UK

Honest answer first: most of the time, you can't — at least not at RRP. Prismatic Evolutions has been sold out at every major UK first-party retailer for most of its post-launch life. Argos, Smyths and Amazon UK all do receive periodic restocks, but they sell through within minutes. We've watched ETB restocks at Argos clear in under sixty seconds.

The retailers with the highest restock frequency through 2025 and into 2026 have been Argos (intermittent click-and-collect drops) and Pokémon Center UK (when their stock allocations land). Chaos Cards and Magic Madhouse see periodic Booster Bundle and ETB restocks but they're rare and quick. Total Cards and Wayland Games receive smaller allocations and tend to sell through immediately.

If you're seeing the product in stock above RRP at eBay or Amazon Marketplace third-party sellers, that's the secondary market — you can buy there but you'll pay a meaningful premium. We'd advise against this for sealed product; the rest of this page explains why.

For background reading on the restock pattern and which retailers have been most reliable through the year, our Prismatic Evolutions restock guide covers the data we've collected from the tracker.

Top Chase Cards

  • Umbreon ex (Special Illustration Rare) — the most-traded card in the set and the headline chase.
  • Umbreon ex (Master Ball reverse holo) — the Master Ball variant pattern is set-exclusive and the Umbreon version commands the highest secondary pricing.
  • Sylveon ex (Special Illustration Rare) — the second-tier chase, with Sylveon's collector following driving consistent demand.
  • Espeon ex (SIR) — third in the Eeveelution SIR ranking by secondary value.
  • God Pack — not a single card but a confirmed booster-pack contents anomaly. Extremely rare; secondary pricing for sealed packs has been pushed by collectors hoping to pull one.

TCGplayer and PriceCharting are the standards for current values.

Is Prismatic Evolutions Worth Buying Sealed?

Editorial opinion: not at current secondary-market prices. We'd say no for sealed product unless you specifically want it for the experience of opening — the singles market is more efficient for collectors who only want the cards. Sealed Booster Boxes, ETBs and the Super-Premium Collection are all trading at multiples of RRP, and the gap between sealed pack EV and singles cost is meaningful.

If you can buy at RRP through one of our restock alerts, that changes the calculation completely — buying at retail is fine for any of the sealed products. The problem is access, not value: at retail RRP, sealed Prismatic Evolutions remains a strong sealed pick. At secondary-market prices, it isn't.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Prismatic Evolutions sold out in the UK?

Mostly yes at retail. Periodic restocks land at Argos, Smyths, Amazon UK and Pokémon Center UK, but they sell through within minutes. We monitor every UK retailer that carries the set and notify alert subscribers the moment stock returns.

What's a "God Pack" in Prismatic Evolutions?

A God Pack is a confirmed (very rare) Prismatic Evolutions booster pack containing only ultra-rare cards instead of the standard contents. It's a deliberate design feature, not an error, and the pull rate is low enough that most openers will never see one.

What's the chase card?

Umbreon ex Special Illustration Rare is the headline chase. The Master Ball reverse holo variant of Umbreon ex is rarer still and trades at a higher premium. Sylveon ex SIR is the second-tier chase.

Is the Prismatic Evolutions ETB ever in stock at RRP?

Rarely. Restocks at Argos, Smyths and Amazon UK happen periodically but sell out in minutes. A Poké Tracker alert is the only practical way to catch one without refreshing retailer sites manually all day.

Should I pay above RRP for Prismatic Evolutions?

Editorial opinion: no for sealed product unless you specifically want it for opening. The singles market is more efficient if you only want the cards. If you can buy at RRP through a restock alert, that's fine — the issue is access at retail prices, not the set's underlying value.
