About this product

Destined Rivals is the older entry in this lineup — a Scarlet & Violet set from May 2025 that has long since left launch-week pricing behind. A loose pack at most UK retailers is still around £4.50, but the secondary singles market for the set has fully matured, which changes how a pack purchase makes sense.

For collectors filling gaps in a Destined Rivals binder, a single pack is mostly a chance event. The chase tier — full art ex cards and SIRs from the set's marquee Pokémon — has settled into stable secondary prices, and pulling them from packs is a long-tail proposition. Most UK collectors who actually need specific Destined Rivals singles buy them on the secondary market and use packs purely for the entertainment of opening.

That entertainment value is real. Destined Rivals is genuinely one of the better-designed Scarlet & Violet sets in retrospect — the rivalry framing produced some of the strongest paired full-art cards of that era, and the trainer gallery cards from this set still hold value as display pieces. Cracking a pack and pulling something memorable is a real possibility, just not a likely one in any given pack.

UK availability is uneven. Some retailers have moved Destined Rivals out of regular stock to clear shelf space for newer Mega Evolution Series products. Specialists (Chaos Cards, Total Cards, Magic Madhouse) still carry packs at RRP, though the cases of 36 they'd normally sell as Booster Boxes are scarcer. If you want a single pack of an older set for sentimental or completion reasons, this is the format. For volume opening, look at newer sets where the chase market hasn't fully matured.
