Three packs and a foil promo, the format where the promo and the packs are roughly matched in value. Thirty cards out of a 244-card set is a modest opening, so this is a promo purchase with packs attached rather than a route into the set. Destined Rivals is worth knowing for its theme: 83 of its cards relate to Team Rocket, more than 45 of those being Team Rocket's Pokémon, which made it the most faction-focused expansion of the Scarlet & Violet era. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex is the headline, with Cynthia's Garchomp ex and Ethan's Ho-Oh ex the other cards that moved. Triple blisters go through general retail rather than allocation, so they sit at RRP in supermarkets and toy shops long after the boxes have sold through. Released 30 May 2025.
