About this product
Thirty-six packs, and the reason people still hunt sealed Brilliant Stars is what sits past the main numbering. This was the first English set to carry a Trainer Gallery, thirty cards numbered TG01 to TG30, putting Pokémon alongside their trainers in a way no mainline set had done before. Arceus VSTAR is the card the set was built around and the one that gave the VSTAR mechanic its identity, though Charizard VSTAR is the name that shows up most often in want lists. The main set runs to 172 cards. Sword & Shield packs held ten cards plus a basic Energy, so a full box is 396 cards before you count the Energy. Released here on 25 February 2022, which makes this one of the older boxes we track. Sealed Sword & Shield product has thinned considerably since, and it now turns up at specialist shops rather than supermarkets.
